eSIM.io eSIM Installation Failed on Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G

On August 4, 2026, I purchased a 5 GB data package through eSIM.io for $7.90 to use in Italy. During the purchase, I received a warning stating that the eSIM needed to be installed after arriving in the destination country. Therefore, when I arrived in Italy on August 6, 2026, I followed the instructions and tried to install the eSIM. However, at the final step, I received an “Unable to Add” error, so the installation could not be completed and I was never able to use the service.

I then contacted eSIM.io customer support. I was told that some Xiaomi models may experience installation errors and that I would need to use the eSIM on a different device. If this type of device incompatibility exists, I believe it should be clearly disclosed before purchase. Since I was already abroad and had relied on this eSIM for internet access, I experienced significant inconvenience with communication and was unable to use the service I had purchased at all.

To resolve this issue, I request a full refund of the $7.90 I paid for the service, which I was unable to use on my Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G.
