I Paid Extra at Enterprise Berlin But Never Got My €250 Deposit Back After Booking Rental

On February 21, I booked a car through Booking.com from Enterprise in Berlin, expecting a vehicle in the class I selected for €92. When I arrived, they told me they didn’t have that class available and offered me a lower segment vehicle instead. I refused.
Then they said I could upgrade to a higher class car—if I paid extra. Left with no choice, I agreed and ended up paying €92 + €374, with €250 of that amount listed as a deposit. I returned the car without issue, but Enterprise Berlin has still not refunded my €250 deposit.
I’ve contacted both Enterprise and Booking.com multiple times since, and neither company has taken any responsibility. It’s as if the issue doesn’t exist—they’re completely ignoring my messages.
Enterprise and Booking, this is unacceptable. I did everything by the book and paid more than I originally planned, yet I’m being ignored over what is clearly my money. This kind of neglect is infuriating. I will never rent through either of these companies again, and I strongly warn others to stay away if they value transparency and customer service. Return my deposit—immediately.
