I Face Unauthorized Charge on eDreams for Qatar Airways Ticket Without Ticket Issued

On September 11 around 7:30 PM, I attempted to book a one-way Istanbul–Bangkok flight with Qatar Airways through eDreams (reference number: DDC7KQ). After entering my card details, the transaction first appeared to be approved but then immediately failed and was canceled. Since no money was charged at that moment, I decided not to continue with the booking.
However, about 40 minutes later, without my knowledge or consent, I received an email that ₺23,534 had been charged to my Garanti Bank credit card. eDreams showed a reservation created, yet I never received a ticket or boarding pass. When I checked the reference code on Qatar Airways’ official site, it confirmed that the booking had been canceled. Through research, I also discovered that many other customers faced similar issues.
The following morning, I called eDreams customer service. A Turkish-speaking representative confirmed that the reservation was canceled, that my money was being held in a pending block, and had not yet been transferred to them. I was told I could either wait for a refund or receive ticket details. They also revealed that I had been automatically enrolled in their Prime membership without my permission, which could have triggered extra charges if I had accepted it. I refused all additional services and demanded a full refund immediately. First, they said it would take three days, then changed it to 3–10 days.
I also contacted my bank, which blocked my card and informed me that I could file a dispute once 24 hours had passed.
This transaction was unauthorized and completed without my approval. I demand an urgent refund of ₺23,534 back to my Garanti Bank credit card and expect eDreams to prevent such unauthorized charges in the future. My grievance must be resolved quickly, and I will pursue all necessary legal and regulatory actions if required.
