Ecco Refused Warranty for My Shoes That Came Apart

The front of the shoes I bought from Ecco last year came apart. Because of this, I contacted Ecco via email, but they said it wasn’t covered under warranty since it wasn’t a manufacturing defect. I also spoke with customer service, and they said it was due to user error and that they couldn’t help. Honestly, I don’t understand how they determined it was user error just by looking at a photo. Also, this isn’t my first pair of Ecco shoes—I haven’t had any issues with the others, so I don’t think the problem is on my end. If a brand like Ecco won’t stand behind a problem like this, then why should I pay that much money? I might as well buy shoes from any other brand.
