I Cannot Exchange My Baby Gift Items at ebebek Without Invoice
On August 21, 2025, around 6:20 PM, I visited the E Bebek store in Mezitli, Mersin, to exchange unused bibs, a feeding bowl, and a dress we'd received as a gift for our baby. Initially, the store staff told me they could only exchange textiles and that they could keep the dress. However, despite the bibs being textiles, they initially refused, and then later explained that they could also keep the bibs. They stated they absolutely could not exchange the feeding bowl, which I didn't object to. Furthermore, E Bebek doesn't include an exchange card with gift items; they only state that a phone number is sufficient for exchange. However, they request additional information such as the invoice and the location of the purchase, putting customers in an unnecessarily difficult position. Despite calling the recipient at least five times in-store, I couldn't reach them, so I couldn't provide the invoice information. The store staff said that was the procedure and couldn't assist me further. I then called customer service, but the representative there repeated the same words as the store representative. I cannot accept that such a simple exchange process should cause such a hassle for the customer. Requiring invoice and branch information for exchanges of gift items seems unreasonable to me. Because of this negative experience, I will not be shopping at E Bebek again and will be telling everyone I know about this. I request that your exchange procedure be revised to prioritize customer satisfaction.
