Dyson Refused to Honor Warranty for My Airstrait Purchased From Sephora In France
I bought a Dyson Airstrait from Sephora Champs Élysées, France, on July 6th, 2024. I used it without any issues at the hotel three times, always following the reset button instructions. However, the next time I used it in France, the device shorted out the electricity for the entire floor and stopped working altogether. The same outlet was used later with other devices without any issues. I contacted Dyson to schedule a service appointment (in Turkey, where I live, which uses the same voltage), but the call center told me they couldn't recognize the Sephora invoice in their system and, therefore, couldn't offer warranty coverage. The representative said it had to be an invoice/facture, which it clearly is, as it includes the device details, price, date, and invoice number. They refused to assist me, so I filed a complaint with the Turkish complaint platform Şikayetvar on August 30th. Dyson sent an automated response saying they would follow up, but it's been over a week, and I still haven't received any help. My Dyson Airstrait, which is both expensive and newly launched, should be under warranty, yet it’s not working, and Dyson remains unresponsive. I’ve attached my invoice, and I’m requesting that a human reviews it and enters it into the system so that I can have the device serviced under warranty. It’s likely just a blown fuse, but I refuse to pay for it as there was no user error.
