Complaint Regarding Faulty Dyson Airstrait - Request For Replacement




On 10.04.2026, I ordered a Dyson Air Straight via the Dyson phone line, using my 10% discount right, and my order was created with the number 44741261. The product was delivered to me in Turkey on 13.04.2026. When I opened the box shortly after delivery, I saw that the ventilation part was peeled and there was dust inside. Even though I had just opened the box for the first time, the fact that the product was worn and dirty in this way gave the impression that it was either a display item or previously used, which seriously disturbed me. Approximately five minutes after delivery, I called customer service and reported the situation, and a file was opened. I specifically requested a box change, because I do not accept that a product I have just purchased is sent to service on the very first day. However, I was told that they could only send the product to service and could not offer any other solution. If I send the product to service, my 14-day return period will expire and this will cause me to be aggrieved. In addition, I do not want to use a device whose filter and parts have been replaced or tampered with as if it were a brand-new product. As someone who has purchased all my devices from Dyson until now, I am truly regretful about this experience. The possibility that the product might be a display or used item and yet only the service option being offered is unacceptable. I request that my issue be resolved by sending a complete and genuinely new product through a box replacement, and that my 10% discount right be preserved.
