Duolingo Charged Me for Premium Without Sending the Promised Trial Expiration Notice
I signed up for a 14-day Premium Trial with the Duolingo app, and they explicitly mentioned that I would get a notification two days before the trial's end. Out of nowhere, my account got charged for the membership, and I never received any notification about it. Totally caught off guard. This seems really unfair and misleading. I was relying on that notification to help me decide if I should keep the subscription or not. It looks like Duolingo is really dropping the ball on user experience by failing to deliver on those reminder promises and sneaking in charges without giving a heads-up. I want my money back for this unauthorized charge, and I hope they sort this out to stop it from happening to anyone else.
