Domino's Pizza İstanbul Makes Discrimination Among Employees
The Domino's Pizza branch on Istanbul Street in Bakırköy, along with many other Domino's Pizza branches, employs staff in a manner that violates human rights. They make a 20-year-old girl work a fixed shift from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Other than that, they constantly make the employees they hire work the night shift. Married people are expected to get home at 3:00 or 4:00 AM, and this happens all the time. While others with children finish work at 6:00 PM, the others are always on the night shift. This does not conform to any work ethic. This is the case not only at the Domino's Pizza in Avcılar but also in Bakırköy. Then they spend the whole year looking for staff. Everyone should have a fixed opening shift for one week. Until I go to İŞKUR, I will write a petition to report that Domino's Pizza, which claims to be a corporate entity, is committing this injustice. Men and women are equal under the constitution. There is no rule that women should do the easier tasks and men the harder ones. If they are getting paid the same, everyone should work under equal conditions. Women should also work under equal conditions and do the night shifts. The manager of Domino's Pizza on Istanbul Street in Bakırköy made me spend ₺600 on preparing documents. On the second day, he tried to assign me a fixed closing shift for a week. If a girl working as a delivery courier earns the same pay as me, she should also do a week of fixed closing shifts. If they are earning the same pay, men and women are equal. This applies to other Domino's Pizza branches as well. They are all desperately looking for staff to work the closing shifts because nobody wants to work the closing shift. I'm sorry, but nobody wants to work a fixed closing shift, especially if they are earning the same pay.
