Slippery Dockers by Gerli Sandals Cause Severe Stairway Fall and Medical Leave

I suffered severe injuries due to a size 45 brown pair of Dockers by Gerli sandals that I purchased about a month ago from Gemlik Özdilek. The soles of these sandals are so slippery that even on completely flat and dry ground, your feet constantly slide around, causing you to stumble and lose your balance. As a result, I slipped and tumbled down the stairs on two separate occasions.

My most recent fall occurred on Sunday night, and I have been placed on medical leave for 13 days following this accident. I sustained physical injuries, and both my daily life and work routine have been completely disrupted. Despite using the sandals in a completely normal and cautious manner, suffering these accidents due to their slick soles clearly demonstrates that the product poses a grave safety hazard.

Following the incident, I called Dockers customer support. They merely informed me that they are only responsible for products sold on their own website and instructed me to apply to the store where I made the purchase. When I visited Gemlik Özdilek—the store where I bought them—they refused to accept responsibility or acknowledge the defect, offering zero resolution.

I believe there is a major design or manufacturing defect in the production and sole structure of these sandals, and I want to warn others so they do not suffer similar falls down the stairs. I demand that this product be classified as defective, that the sandals be accepted for a full return or exchanged for a slip-resistant, safe alternative, and that urgent investigations and preventative measures be taken to prevent similar accidents.
