I Received a Discord Security Code Despite Never Creating a Discord Account

Despite having no membership, account, or history of using Discord, I received a text message on my Android phone number on May 28, 2026, at 12:46 AM stating, “Your Discord security code is…”. I have never created a Discord account, never attempted to register for the platform, and do not currently use Discord. For this reason, receiving a verification or security code intended for an account that does not belong to me has caused serious concern.

My phone number is a personal Vodafone mobile line registered solely in my name and is not used by anyone else. Before and after receiving this message, I did not perform any action related to Discord. I did not install the application, visit the website, attempt to log in, or click on any Discord-related links. Nevertheless, a security code was sent to my number, leading me to believe that someone may have attempted to associate my phone number with a Discord account without my knowledge or permission.

I would like to know whether my phone number has been used by another individual on Discord and, if so, for what purpose. I am also concerned about how my phone number may have been obtained and whether it was shared or entered into Discord’s system by a third party without my consent.

I request that Discord immediately identify and remove any accounts that may be associated with my phone number. I also ask that all necessary security measures be taken to ensure that my number cannot be linked to any Discord account without my authorization in the future. Furthermore, I request that my phone number not be associated with Discord in any way and that I receive a detailed written explanation, if possible, regarding how and by whom my number was added to or used within the Discord system.
