Discord Sent a Verification Code Without Any Login Attempt From Me
On July 2, 2026, at approximately 3:30 PM, I received an SMS on my phone containing the message “Your Discord Security Code.” At that time, I was not using Discord, accessing the application, attempting to log in, or requesting any type of account verification. The message arrived completely unexpectedly and without any action on my part.
I linked my phone number to my Discord account several years ago, but I have not actively used Discord for a long time and currently do not have access to my account. Despite this, receiving a security code without my knowledge or authorization has caused serious concern and made me question the security of my account. The message suggests that someone may have attempted to access, verify, or otherwise interact with my account without my permission.
I request that Discord conduct a thorough review of my account security and investigate whether any unauthorized login attempts, verification requests, or other suspicious activities were associated with the security code sent to my phone number. I also ask to be informed about the current security status of the account that I can no longer access. In addition, I request that my phone number be completely removed from my Discord account and any related records to prevent future unauthorized use. I would appreciate a clear written explanation regarding the findings of the investigation and any actions taken to protect my account and personal information.
