Unfair Billing, Duplicate Invoices and Unreasonable Practices By DHL
On 29.06.2025, we shipped a parcel via DHL Express under Waybill No: 2964186374. The official quotation provided on DHL’s website and confirmed by the courier record was €18.25. The shipment weight was 0.2 kg, the volumetric weight was 0.128 kg, and the chargeable weight was 0.5 kg. Despite this, DHL issued the following invoices against us: 07.07.2025 – DL02025000498235 – ₺2,141.32; 18.08.2025 – DL02025000624759 – ₺3,646.66; 27.08.2025 – DL02025000649690 – ₺3,650.14. In response, we issued return invoices and sent an official notary protest rejecting these unfair charges. However, DHL stated that our return invoices would not be recorded in their books and nevertheless continued to issue duplicate and inflated invoices, far exceeding the agreed €18.25. This conduct is unfair, abusive, and contrary to commercial practice and business ethics. A shipment officially confirmed at €18.25 cannot legitimately be invoiced multiple times at several times that amount, with arbitrary “invoice redrafting fees” added. We therefore demand the cancellation of all unfair and duplicate invoices, settlement strictly based on the originally agreed €18.25, and an immediate end to such arbitrary and harassing practices in future transactions. Otherwise, we reserve our full legal rights to pursue this matter in court and before the relevant authorities.
