DHL Lost My Express Shipment and Still Has No Info After 10 Days in Istanbul

DHL has completely failed to deliver on its promises—and lost our urgent international shipment in the process. Our package, containing valuable documents, was supposed to arrive in Germany on April 30. Instead, it’s been stuck in Istanbul for over 10 days, according to the tracking system, with no movement or update whatsoever.

We’ve contacted DHL multiple times, but no one has a clue where the package is. They opened a case and vaguely mentioned checking security cameras—yet after all this time, still no answers. To make it worse, a representative casually told us, “Pay the fee and forget it.” That’s insulting.

We paid €85 for DHL’s express service, expecting next-day delivery. Instead, we got delays, silence, and pure incompetence. DHL markets itself as one of the world’s top courier companies, yet their Istanbul team has shown nothing but helplessness.

This is a time-sensitive, high-priority document. I demand that DHL immediately locate and deliver our shipment, or refund us in full and provide accountability for the loss. This level of service is unacceptable.
