Cvwizard Unauthorized Charge After CV Download
I recently used Cvwizard to update and download my CV. While using the application, it was clearly indicated as free. Only once I had completed my CV did the app state that I needed to pay R19 in order to download it. Because I urgently needed my CV at that moment, I proceeded with the R19 payment. However, on 26/02/2026 an amount of R299 was deducted from my Capitec Bank account by Cvwizard, which I never agreed to or authorized. At no point was I clearly informed that I would be subscribed to a recurring service or that an additional amount of R299 would later be charged. I only intended to make a once-off payment of R19 to download my CV. I feel misled by this process, as the subscription and the R299 deduction were not transparently communicated. I have not yet contacted Cvwizard or my bank, but I am raising this complaint to formally record the issue. I kindly request a full refund of the R299 taken from my Capitec Bank account and the cancellation of any subscription or recurring payment that may have been created without my clear consent.
