In December 2024, I purchased a brand-new 2024 Cupra Formentor VZ Line for ₺2.200.000. At the time, I believed I was making a solid investment in a premium vehicle. However, just two months later, in February 2025, the new 2025 model was introduced with a price tag of ₺2.360.000—only slightly higher than what I paid.
The 2025 version includes essential advanced features such as front camera, 360-degree view system, blind-spot detection, and lane-keeping assist—none of which were available on my model. This feels extremely unfair. For a small price difference, new buyers are now getting a significantly more equipped and safer vehicle, while I am left with a version that lacks these critical safety technologies.
Had I known this upgrade was coming, I could have simply waited or invested the money elsewhere temporarily. Instead, I now feel shortchanged—both financially and in terms of driving experience. I strongly believe that 2024 Formentor VZ owners deserve an option to retrofit or receive equivalent upgrades.
I respectfully call on Cupra and distributor Doğuş Oto to show they stand behind their customers. Please offer a fair compensation or equipment upgrade for early adopters like myself.
