I purchased the full-package Chery Omoda 5 Excellent in September 2023. Last week, I was involved in a chain-reaction traffic accident involving five vehicles. My car suffered serious impact from both the front and rear. While the airbags in all the other vehicles deployed, not a single airbag in my car went off, despite it being the most severely damaged. Thankfully, we made it out of the vehicle unharmed. The next day, I called Chery’s headquarters and explained the situation. They said they would investigate and get back to me, but I never received a response. I called multiple times after that, but they ignored me. I will never drive a vehicle from this brand again, and I will pursue all my legal rights to the end. I’m sharing photos of the vehicle and asking: how is it possible that none of the airbags deployed in this car?
