I Cannot Subscribe to ChatGPT Plus Because of a Deleted Account

I use the ChatGPT application on my iPhone device. Previously, I created an account in the app and purchased a subscription, but later I completely deleted that account. I removed the app from my phone and erased all conversations and all account-related data. Now, with the new account I created, I want to purchase a ChatGPT Plus subscription, but the system behaves as if I am still connected to the old deleted account.

Around May 12–13, when I attempted to purchase ChatGPT Plus using my new account, after the payment was processed I received the following warning message: “Purchases made with your Apple ID are linked to another ChatGPT account. To continue, sign in with the original ChatGPT account used for the purchase or contact support.” However, that so-called “original” account was completely deleted long ago, I no longer have access to it, and it is impossible to log into a deleted account. Despite this, the payment is still charged, but the upgrade to Plus never completes because of this error.

After these failed attempts, I had to request refunds through Apple and eventually received the money back. When I tried again later, the exact same thing happened: the system again acted as if the payment belonged to the deleted old account, the fee was charged, but I still could not activate ChatGPT Plus and had to go through another refund process. Additionally, although I was told there could sometimes be confusion with App Store subscriptions tied to Apple IDs, when I check the “Subscriptions” section in the App Store, there is no active ChatGPT subscription shown at all.

In summary, I cannot purchase a Plus subscription with my newly created account. My money was charged twice as if tied to an old deleted account, I had to deal with refund processes each time, and I still cannot use the subscription service. Even though my only existing account now is the newly created one, the system appears permanently locked to my deleted account in the background.

I request that this issue be fixed, that the old hidden subscription relationship connected to my Apple ID be completely removed, and that my account be corrected so I can purchase and use ChatGPT Plus normally with my new account.
