CFMOTO 250SR Exhaust Exploded After 5000 km and I Have to Wait 3 Months for Repair
My 2024 model CFMOTO 250SR motorcycle has only 5,000 km on it, and its exhaust has already exploded. When I took it to the service center, they confirmed it exploded at the throat and identified it as a factory defect. They said they would request a new exhaust from the factory, but it would take 3 months to arrive. The exhaust of a motorcycle that’s just 4 months old and has 5,000 km on it shouldn’t explode, and now I have to wait 3 months for a replacement. I can't ride the motorcycle during this time due to the extremely loud noise it makes, which could lead to penalties for noise and driving discomfort. I don't understand how a 3-month wait can be considered acceptable. If you have connections at the dealer, they say maybe it can be sent sooner. So, you get to ride it for 4 months, and then let it sit for 3 months? The motorcycle is great, but this situation is unacceptable. I really hope CFMOTO takes this complaint seriously and sends the exhaust immediately!
