Carwiz Rent A Car Charged Me Wrong HGS Fees, Fuel, and Extra Unexplained Costs
From June 20, 2025, 15:00 to June 23, 2025, 15:00, I rented a car for 3 days through Vipcars, an international agency, from Carwiz Rent A Car / Eşmen Car Rental. (1) I received the car with an empty fuel tank and returned it with enough fuel for about 60 km, but when I requested a refund for that amount, they said it was not possible. (2) I returned the car on June 23, 2025, at 12:30, 2.5 hours earlier than scheduled, and I asked for a refund for the unused time, but they refused. (3) When I first picked up the car, they attempted to give me a vehicle so dirty it was unusable. I refused and requested another car, which I was given, but they registered the plate of the dirty car under my name in the system. Today, when I checked my credit card, I saw a charge of ₺846.98. I called Carwiz to ask what this amount was, and they said it was an HGS toll fee. When I asked for proof, I realized they charged me for a different car — the plate registered under my name, not the car I actually used. (4) Additionally, without my permission, another ₺3.75 charge with no explanation was deducted from my credit card.
