Busuu Subscription Appeared After I Linked My Google Account
I downloaded the Busuu language learning app on July 1, 2026, at 3:23 p.m. The app itself was free to download, and the only action I took was linking my Google account. I did not purchase a subscription, sign up for a paid plan, or authorize any membership. Despite this, I soon received a notification stating that a Busuu subscription had been activated with a charge of $7.
I never entered my credit card information or approved any payment within the app. I also called the customer service number listed in the message (+90 850 333 36 99), but the line was constantly busy and I was unable to reach anyone for assistance.
I believe this subscription was activated without my authorization. I request that the Busuu subscription be canceled immediately and that the full $7 charged to my phone bill be refunded. I also ask for a written explanation of how this subscription was activated without my consent.
