Busuu Activated a Subscription I Never Approved

I never intentionally subscribed to the Busuu language learning service. However, at around 9:00 a.m., I received a text message stating that a Busuu subscription had been activated on my account. Without requesting a membership, opening an account, or authorizing any subscription, I discovered that $7 had been charged to my Türk Telekom mobile phone bill.

As soon as I noticed the charge, I contacted Türk Telekom customer service. Unfortunately, they could not provide a clear explanation and only told me that I had subscribed to a service and that the charge was related to that subscription. I never saw a consent screen, never confirmed anything by SMS, and never made a phone call to activate this service. I do not understand how this subscription was created without my knowledge. After researching the issue, I found that many other customers have reported similar unauthorized subscriptions and charges.

I request that this unauthorized subscription be canceled immediately and that the $7 charged to my Türk Telekom mobile account be fully refunded. I also ask that the necessary safeguards be put in place to ensure that no similar subscriptions can ever be activated on my phone line without my explicit consent.
