I have been using my Bridgestone Turanza T005 tire for about eight months, and my vehicle has only covered 8,000 kilometers in total. However, while driving on the Istanbul TEM Highway, my car suddenly started shaking and swerving uncontrollably. I barely managed to regain control and safely pull over to the emergency lane. When I got out to inspect the vehicle, I saw that the tire had completely disintegrated.
Although I didn’t suffer any financial loss, the situation was extremely dangerous — I was lucky to escape unharmed. This is the first time I’ve ever experienced such an incident, and for a tire to fail so catastrophically in such a short time and at such low mileage is unacceptable.
I have not yet contacted Bridgestone because, based on past experiences and feedback, I don’t believe it would lead to a meaningful result. Nevertheless, I am requesting that Bridgestone replace my damaged tire and issue a formal apology for this serious defect and the safety risk it caused.
