Bridgestone Turanza 215/50 R17 Tire Sidewall Cracking After 25,000 Miles

August 12, 2024 2:31 PM86

I purchased a Bridgestone Turanza 215/50 R17 tire with a production date from the 33rd week of 2022. Despite having driven only 25,000 km, the tire developed cracks on the inner side in two different places while I was on the highway, leaving me stranded. I incurred significant costs due to the need for a tow truck and a spare tire.
I am astonished that a tire with such low mileage and still within its two-year lifespan could fail in this manner. The cracks could have led to an accident, but I managed to regain control of the vehicle. The situation has caused me considerable distress, as this tire should not have experienced such issues given its limited use and the fact that it is not expired.
