Bosch Refrigerator Repeatedly Failed Despite Multiple Repairs

My Bosch refrigerator, model KGN55VIF0N/02, began experiencing serious problems on August 23, 2025, approximately one to two months before the warranty expired. The freezer section started excessive cooling and icing, while the refrigerator compartment stopped cooling altogether. An authorized service was dispatched, and I was instructed to unplug the refrigerator and wait two days for the ice buildup to melt. After that, the control board and thermostat were replaced. However, even after this repair, the same malfunction continued to occur almost every month on a regular basis. During this period, authorized service technicians visited my home five to six times for the same complaint. Each time, we had to empty the refrigerator, try to preserve the food somehow, unplug the unit for two days, and wait for the ice to melt. At every visit, the service replaced some parts and left saying “this time it’s fixed,” yet the problem was never permanently resolved. Despite all of this, at the final stage I was told that because the warranty had expired, further part replacement would only be possible if I paid approximately $219. Later, customer service presented it as a goodwill gesture and applied a discount of about $46, and the repair was completed for approximately $173. I am now anxiously waiting to see how long it will take before the refrigerator fails in the same way again. All of my major home appliances, including my washing machine, dishwasher, and refrigerator, are Bosch products. For years, I chose Bosch believing it was a world-renowned brand known for durability and standing behind its products, and I am deeply disappointed to see how wrong I was. Bosch founder Robert Bosch once said, “I would rather lose money than lose the trust of people,” but Bosch has clearly chosen to lose my trust. Because of all the inconvenience I experienced, the repeated recurrence of the same fault without a permanent solution, and the fact that I was charged approximately $173 for a repair by citing the warranty expiration, I am requesting a full refund of the repair fee I paid. I expect Bosch to stand behind its product and resolve my grievance.
