I Withdrew My Balance from Bitget in August but Never Received It
In August 2024, I initiated a withdrawal of my full balance from my Bitget account, expecting the funds to reach me as usual. However, nothing ever arrived in my bank account. I’ve been trying to resolve this issue for months now, but it’s been a dead end. Since Bitget pulled out of Turkey, there’s no support or local representative to speak with, and none of my emails have been answered.
After half a year of chasing down my own money, I was finally given a ridiculous excuse: they claimed my funds were somehow lost due to a copy trade that allegedly happened before I even initiated the withdrawal. That explanation makes absolutely no sense. I never authorized any such trade. It seems like they are making up stories to avoid paying out.
To me, it feels like Bitget’s exit from Turkey was a calculated move to seize user assets. I trusted this platform with my investment, but now I realize there’s no clear way to hold them accountable or recover what’s mine. I demand a proper investigation, a clear transaction record, and the return of my balance. Crypto shouldn't mean sacrificing your rights.
Progress
I transferred my cryptocurrencies from Bitgettr to my bank account on July 22, 2024, but they did not reach my account. Later, I was unable to log into my Bitget account as well. I was told that my account was blocked due to a two-step security issue and that it would be reopened. It took about 40 days for my account to be reopened, and during this time, news came out that Bitgettr would be closing on September 31, 2024, and withdrawing from Turkey. I tried to withdraw my money again on September 11, but it still didn't arrive, and my account was blocked again. After that, none of my questions were answered in any way. I believe Bitgettr deliberately did not process this transfer, and I learned that many others experienced the same issue as me. I wrote dozens of emails over 7 months and received no response. Later, I received an email stating that I had no crypto assets in my balance. When I asked for withdrawal and transfer details, I was told there was no transfer transaction and that my balance was liquidated through copy trading. In other words, they seized my money one way or another. When you try to withdraw money, they use security as an excuse to block your account for a long time. If anyone has been able to withdraw their money from this exchange, I would appreciate a reply. Bitget is known as a reliable exchange, but I recommend everyone to stay away. Those who have been victimized in Turkey may experience the same problem on Bitget global as well.
