Sephora Sales Associate Misleads Customer into Purchasing Unusable Benefit Brow Gel
On Sunday, August 9, 2026, I visited the Sephora store at İstinyePark Istanbul to shop with guidance, even though I already had the product I originally intended to buy in hand. Rather than looking at what I had chosen, the sales associate specifically recommended Benefit's new "Dream Sheen" wet eyebrow setter, pitching it as a fantastic new release. Relying on their recommendation, I put back my original choice and purchased the recommended item.
Upon using the product, I discovered that it fails to set or hold my eyebrows at all, the color appears far too dark, and it leaves my brows looking constantly wet and unflattering. The product's actual performance completely contradicts the sales associate's claims, making me feel as though my money was completely wasted.
I am aware that I opened and used the product; however, because I purchased it solely based on the sales consultant's misleading guidance, I feel wronged. I demand that the İstinyePark Sephora store assist me with an exchange or, if possible, a full refund, and I urge their management to ensure sales staff are far more accurate and careful when recommending products to customers.
