Bayer Mirena IUD Side Effects Breast Cancer Concern
In 2021, a Bayer Mirena hormonal intrauterine device was inserted for birth control. After the insertion, I started to experience persistent green and foul-smelling vaginal discharge, lower back pain, groin pain and significant weight gain. Despite these ongoing complaints, I did not initially think that the situation could become so serious and therefore did not make an official complaint at that time. In 2023, Mirena was removed, but my complaints did not completely resolve. Later, a mass was detected in my breast and I was diagnosed with breast cancer. After the mass was surgically removed, my complaints improved. This entire process has been physically and emotionally very challenging for me. I am submitting this complaint because I believe that the Mirena product may have contributed to what I experienced, including the breast cancer diagnosis. I request that Bayer take responsibility for what I have gone through, thoroughly investigate the relationship between the product and these serious side effects, and take the necessary steps to ensure that other women do not experience similar problems, including withdrawing the product from the market if necessary.
