I noticed peeling on the steering wheel of my 2025 model Audi A6 about 2 months ago. The vehicle has only 29,000 km on it, and having the steering wheel deform this way in such a short time is not an acceptable situation.
Because of this issue, I applied to the authorized service center, but the problem was labeled "user error" and not covered under warranty. Since I use the steering wheel normally and carefully, I absolutely do not accept this assessment. Peeling on the steering wheel under normal use — especially at such low mileage on a new vehicle — should be evaluated as a material or manufacturing-related problem.
As a businessperson who has chosen Audi brand vehicles for years, this situation has seriously disappointed me both in terms of perceived quality and customer satisfaction. I specifically want to state that if this problem isn't resolved, I will no longer choose an Audi brand vehicle in the future.
While my vehicle is still under warranty, I am requesting that my steering wheel be replaced under warranty at no cost, without being labeled as user error. I kindly ask that the matter be re-examined and a customer-satisfaction-focused solution be produced.
