While using Apple Pay with my Garanti Bank credit card, an $2,053 charge was made to my card on February 3 without my knowledge or authorization. The transaction appears as a pending authorization in my card activity, but there is no record of it on the Apple Pay side. On Garanti’s end, the transaction is simply listed as “Apple Pay,” with no detailed merchant or business name provided.
After this transaction, my card limit was completely maxed out, so I canceled the card for security reasons and had a new one issued. However, since the amount is still pending authorization, it has not posted to my statement; therefore, I cannot formally dispute the charge. Because it does not appear in Apple Pay and remains stuck in pending status, no party has been able to provide a clear resolution, and my hardship increases with each passing day.
Since I do not have another card or account I can use, I am currently unable to cover even my basic necessities due to this charge. My credit limit is completely locked, my funds are effectively unusable, and there has been no concrete refund or cancellation. This situation is causing me significant financial and emotional distress, and I believe it reflects a serious security failure.
I demand the immediate cancellation of this unauthorized transaction, the urgent release of the $2,053 pending authorization, the restoration of my card limit, and the prompt refund of my funds. I also request that my hardship be resolved quickly and that a proper investigation be conducted into this security breach.
