Apple Store Customer Was Injured by Uncontrolled Animal Inside Store
On Sunday, September 13, 2026, at around 5:15 PM, I was at the Apple Store in Zorlu Center to look at products. While I was reaching toward a MacBook to take a closer look, a cat that was freely roaming inside the store scratched my hand and caused it to bleed. Being physically injured as a result of an animal being allowed inside the store and moving uncontrolled through an area occupied by customers made me feel concerned about my health and also caused significant psychological distress.
After the incident, I asked the store employees for a bandage, but instead of taking the situation seriously, I was only asked whether I had touched the cat or the computers. Considering the potential risks associated with animal scratches and bites, including rabies, I believe the store staff failed to handle the incident appropriately or provide adequate health-related guidance. I have not received any medical support regarding the potential rabies risk so far, which continues to cause me significant concern.
Because of the risk created by allowing an animal that can come into contact with customers to roam freely inside the store, as well as the fear and distress I experienced, I request that the necessary internal safety measures be implemented. I also request compensation for the emotional distress and non-economic harm I have suffered as a result of this incident.
