AMD Radeon XFX RX 580 Emits Buzzing Sounds Under Load – Is It Harmful?

June 17, 2024 7:05 AM9

I’m using an AMD Radeon XFX RX 580 with the following system:

Processor: i5-84**
Storage: 22GB SSD
Motherboard: Asus H310M
Whenever I play games, the GPU emits a buzzing or crackling sound, especially when under heavy load. This happens more noticeably when I set the FPS limit to unlimited. Additionally, the fan noise sometimes increases significantly during gameplay.

I’m concerned about whether these sounds indicate potential harm to the system or if they’re normal under strain. Despite trying to address the issue, I haven’t found a solution. Could someone clarify if this is damaging to the hardware? I would appreciate advice from AMD or anyone familiar with similar issues to help resolve this.
