Amazfit T-Rex Pro Screen Fails Despite No Physical Damage
I purchased an Amazfit T-Rex Pro smartwatch in June 2023 through an online order from the MediaMarkt Balçova store in Izmir. I specifically chose this product because I trusted its claims of durability and ruggedness. Despite the watch never being dropped or subjected to any impact, scratches, or screen damage, the screen suddenly developed a malfunction on its own.
Because the warranty period had expired, MediaMarkt directed me to the distributor, after which I contacted Evofone. However, without properly inspecting the device, I was simply told that the estimated cost of replacing the screen could be around $144. This amount is quite close to the watch's current retail price. Moreover, quoting such a high repair cost without even properly examining my watch is unacceptable both from a technical standpoint and in terms of customer trust.
As a consumer, I am seriously inconvenienced by the fact that a product marketed with an emphasis on durability has developed a screen failure despite having no external damage, while the estimated repair cost is nearly as high as the price of a new product. This situation raises serious concerns about whether the product's durability claims are consistent with the quality of its after-sales service.
My request is for my watch to undergo a detailed and professional inspection, followed by a reasonable and transparent repair quote based on the actual cause of the failure, or, if possible, free repair support. I expect a solution that reflects the product's durability claims and prioritizes customer satisfaction. Otherwise, because of this experience, I would not consider choosing the brand again.
