Amazfit T-Rex Pro Dies After Warranty Expires by Two Months
I purchased an Amazfit T-Rex Pro smartwatch through Trendyol in February 2024. Only about two months after the warranty period expired, I was forced to ship the watch to an authorized service center because it developed a serious malfunction. The watch immediately shuts down as soon as it is disconnected from the charger, making it impossible to use normally. There are no signs of any impact, scratches, or user error on the product, yet this problem has occurred.
After inspecting the watch, the authorized service center told me that the motherboard and battery needed to be replaced. However, instead of providing me with a clear repair cost, they simply told me that the repair would be expensive and tried to sell me a new watch. In my communications with Amazfit, I was only told that the warranty period had expired, and no solution was offered. The product is marketed around its durability, creating the impression that it is built to withstand even extreme conditions, yet experiencing such a serious failure immediately after the warranty period ended is unacceptable.
Although the warranty period has expired by only a very short time, I request that my Amazfit T-Rex Pro smartwatch be repaired free of charge as a goodwill gesture due to the malfunction I have experienced.
