How to Get a Refund When Alibaba Seller Rejects Cancellation Request

On September 30, 2025, I purchased a clothing item titled “Custom Streetwear Double Layer Long Sleeve T-Shirt DTG Printing Logo Vintage Acid Washed Men's Oversized T-Shirt” through Alibaba, under Order No: 277742463001021844. I paid $38.67 via credit card.

A short time after placing the order, the seller contacted me, informing me that the item was out of stock and advised me to cancel the order and request a refund. When I initiated the cancellation, I correctly selected “the seller cannot supply the item” as the reason. However, the seller rejected my cancellation request and insisted that I re-submit it under the option “I no longer want the item.”

This situation caused unnecessary delay, confusion, and inconvenience. Despite my attempts to resolve the issue directly with the seller via messages, no progress was made. Furthermore, I was unable to reach any Alibaba support representative directly through the platform.

I am requesting an immediate refund of $38.67 and for Alibaba to take action against the seller for this misleading and unprofessional behavior.
