Akbank Promised 50% Interest for New Funds but Lowered It to 49% After I Deposited

On July 4, 2025, Akbank launched a campaign promising 50% interest for 30 days to anyone transferring new funds into their account. Trusting this offer, I moved my money to Akbank. However, when I checked my account on July 20, 2025, I was shocked to see that the interest rate had been silently reduced to 49%. This is nothing short of deceptive behavior and feels like a bait-and-switch tactic.
I demand that my loss be compensated in full, the original 50% interest rate be honored, and my EFT transfer limit be increased to match my total account balance at the time of transfer. Additionally, I request that no EFT fees be charged when I move my funds out.
Due to this breach of trust, I will be closing all my accounts with Akbank. This experience has been incredibly disappointing and unacceptable from a bank that should value its customers. Akbank, fix this immediately.
