Akbank Charged a Membership Fee on My Wings Card Despite Promising No Fees
On 6/9/2024, a membership fee was charged to my Akbank Wings card. I am an Akbank salary customer. While opening the account, the bank marketed and sold its products and services very effectively. When the credit card was being sold, I was explicitly told that no membership fees or similar charges would be applied. I am requesting a refund of this fee. Otherwise, I will terminate all my dealings with the bank. As a company, we have switched to a different salary bank, but I personally chose to remain an Akbank salary customer out of special consideration. If the card fee is not refunded, I will sever all ties with the bank and defend my rights to the fullest. I will file the necessary applications with the Banking Association Consumer Arbitration Board and close all my bank and credit card accounts, as well as my bank account.
