I Was Charged a Card Fee on My Platinum Credit Card
On August 15, 2025, a card fee of ₺1149.50 was charged to my Akbank Platinum credit card ending in 0303. During the time I was a salary customer and even afterwards, the card fees charged to my account had previously been refunded as Chip Para. However, in August 2025, I faced this fee again and on August 24, 2025, I called customer service to file a complaint. During the call, I was told that the fee could only be refunded if I met the condition of 6 months of use and spending. I then requested both the refund of the fee charged to my card when I was a salary customer and the closure of my card. However, my card was closed without the fee being refunded, which caused me problems as I could not use it in several urgent situations. In the past, card fees had been charged in a similar way, but after my objections they were refunded as Chip Para. I have experienced the same issue in previous years as well, including this year. I only contacted customer service and could not receive support from any other channel. My request from Akbank is that the ₺1149.50 card fee be refunded to me and that I be allowed to continue using my card without any further fees being charged. I kindly ask for this to be resolved and for information to be provided to me.
