We were forced to leave an Airbnb rental in the middle of the night due to a serious electrical issue that made the house unsafe—especially with our 1.5-year-old baby. On July 26 at around 10:30 PM, we had to pack up and start driving toward İzmir under stressful conditions, long before our reservation period ended.
The property had an electrical leakage, and the air inside was heavy and unsettling. The key had been left in the door, and we had to physically remove it to get out. When we contacted the host, they simply told us, “You’re free to leave early if you want,” and added that there was nothing they could do about the issue. No attempt was made to help, relocate, or offer even basic support.
This situation was not just inconvenient—it was dangerous. We left a rental property late at night, in a panic, with an infant, because the environment was unsafe to stay in.
I am requesting that Airbnb immediately review this case, provide a full refund, and investigate the host’s negligence. This should never happen to any guest—let alone a family with a small child. I expect a prompt and responsible resolution.
