Airbnb Overcharged Me $100 on a Discounted Booking – I Need a Refund
I booked a rental in Madrid through Airbnb, which was displayed as a discounted property. The total price was supposed to be $281, but $381 was charged to my credit card.
The nightly rate was listed as $58, but Airbnb charged me $95 per night, which is the non-discounted price. As a result, I overpaid nearly five nights' worth of fees. At first, Airbnb sent an email acknowledging the overcharge and requested a screenshot, but since I don’t have one, they are refusing to process my refund.
I demand Airbnb refund the extra $100 immediately. This is unacceptable, and I expect a prompt resolution from customer support.
Hello, unfortunately, there has been no positive response. They said that the landlord ultimately sets the fees. Please remember that when renting a house, a discounted fee may appear, but another fee may be charged. Airbnb definitely does not provide a solution; they pass the situation to the landlord. In that case, we cannot trust this company and make a rental. You can rent at the fee the landlord wants, not the fee you see on the screen.
