Airbnb Must Refund My ₺21,000 Instead of Forcing Me to Use Booking Credit

I had an Airbnb reservation in Izmir from August 11–16, 2025, which I had to cancel. During the cancellation process, I mistakenly selected “Booking Credit” as the refund method instead of a direct bank transfer. Afterward, I immediately contacted both the host and Airbnb customer service. The host was helpful and caused no issues.
The first Airbnb representative I spoke with assured me that the refund of ₺21,000, which was marked as Booking Credit, could be transferred directly to my bank account within 15 days. However, even after more than 15 days passed, I did not receive any payment. When I contacted customer service again, I was told that the amount could only be used as Booking Credit and would not be refunded to my bank account.
This is unacceptable. Because of a simple mistake during cancellation, I am now unable to access ₺21,000 of my own money. I may never even use Airbnb again, which means my funds are essentially trapped on the platform. This has left me in a very difficult financial situation.
I demand that Airbnb transfer my ₺21,000 refund to my bank account instead of forcing me to use Booking Credit. This money is important to me, and I expect Airbnb to resolve this issue fairly and promptly.
