Airbnb Host Added Extra Fee After Booking – Requesting Refund for Canceled Reservation
On October 25, 2024, at 8:47 PM, I booked a one-night stay at Yeşilköy Boutique Hotel through Airbnb (confirmation code: HMMAJMJM25). After completing payment, the host informed me that I couldn’t bring a second guest unless I paid an additional fee in cash. This unexpected demand eroded my trust in the host, and I decided to cancel the reservation at 9:30 PM. However, the cancellation policy stated that I wouldn’t receive a refund.
I contacted Airbnb support to request a cancellation with a full refund, but they were unhelpful. I am formally requesting my refund and asserting my legal rights. I expect a prompt resolution to this issue.
