Now, as the fair approaches, my only choices are listings at ₺35,000 and ₺42,000, while Airbnb offers me a mere ₺800 credit. If I cancel 12 hours before, I’d lose my entire payment, but when they cancel, I’m given ₺800 as compensation. I even called customer support, desperately requesting a small discount to help with the new, skyrocketing rates. I spent hours anxiously checking my phone, hoping for a response as my flight neared. I finally called customer service, thinking the issue would be resolved faster by phone, only to find the third option I’d hoped for was gone. I was on the brink of a heart attack from the stress. I ended up canceling my flight with a penalty and missing out on the business trip I’d been preparing for for months. I will never use Airbnb again.
