Agoda Refused Refund After Medical Emergency — Hotel Monarch Batumi Case
I made a reservation through Agoda at Hotel Monarch Batumi for the dates October 27–28, 2025, but I was forced to cancel my stay due to a medical emergency. Despite providing all official medical documents, both the hotel and Agoda refused my refund request. Meanwhile, the airline and car rental companies I had booked with reviewed the same documents and issued full refunds without any issue.
I contacted Agoda multiple times by phone and email. Although they promised to help over the phone and I submitted all the required documents in writing, no resolution has been provided so far. My reservation number is 5878*11.
There was no clear information available beforehand about the cancellation or refund process in the event of a medical emergency. This is the first time I have faced such an issue, and I am deeply disappointed by the lack of customer care and failure to show compassion in a health-related situation.
I request that Agoda review my case again and issue a full refund for the reservation.
