I made reservations through Agoda for accommodations in Bern and Luzern, Switzerland. I specifically chose the Luzern property based on Agoda’s listing, which clearly stated that parking was free and located on-site. That detail was the deciding factor—if it hadn’t been included, I would’ve booked a completely different place.
Upon arrival, I found out the information was false. The property, Hitrental Luzern, refused to provide a parking code, saying they only give it to long-term guests. As a result, I had to pay 15 CHF just to park for one night. I reached out to the property directly, and they confirmed the policy—but that’s not what Agoda promised.
Selling bookings based on incorrect or misleading information is unacceptable. Agoda, you need to refund the parking charge and ensure listings reflect accurate details. I shouldn’t have to pay for something you claimed was free.
