On October 22, 2025, I made a reservation through Agoda.com for Hotel Nuevo Triunfo for the dates October 25 – November 2, 2025. My reservation was initially confirmed, and I was informed that the payment had been successfully processed. However, shortly afterward, I received an email stating that the hotel did not approve the reservation and that it had been canceled. Despite the cancellation, a total of $977 was charged to my credit card.
I reported the issue to Agoda’s Help Center, and they told me that my refund would be processed within 30 business days. I also contacted the hotel, which informed me that the reservation is still active and was not canceled; therefore, they cannot issue a refund. On the Agoda Help Center, I’m unable to reach a real representative, and I only receive automated AI responses.
Additionally, I have filed a payment dispute with my bank, but I have not yet received a response. This is the first time I have encountered such a problem, and I am currently facing significant financial distress.
I request a full refund for the $977 payment since I did not receive any service. I expect my issue to be resolved urgently.
