Agoda Fails to Honor "Best Price Guarantee" – Overcharged for My Booking
I booked a hotel through Agoda on February 26, and the payment was charged to my credit card on February 28. However, on March 15, I found the same room at a lower price on Booking.com. Expecting Agoda to honor their "Best Price Guarantee", I reached out to them.
Their response? The cheaper room didn’t offer a cancellation option, so they refused to match the price. But why does a cancellation option matter when Agoda already charged my card two days after booking? This makes no sense. To make things worse, the same room is now cheaper even on Agoda’s own site!
If Agoda is just going to make excuses, why even advertise a "Best Price Guarantee"? I feel misled and overcharged, and I will never book through Agoda again. I demand a refund for the price difference or at least an explanation that actually makes sense.
