Yandex Taxi Driver Dropped Me Off at the Wrong Location Late at Night

On August 12, 2026, at around 11:30 PM, I suffered a serious issue with a taxi hailed through Yandex, operated under license plate 35 T 5050 and driven by Mr. A. Although I explicitly instructed him to drop me off at 46/19 Street, he took me to 46/23 Street instead. When I pointed out that we were at the wrong location, he ignored my warning and stated that he had already passed the turn, so I had to get out right there.

Even though navigation was active, he failed to follow the location properly and demanded, "Then you give me directions," instead of navigating to the requested address. Encountering this behavior late at night while trying to return to my dorm left me feeling anxious and mistreated. Although I have used Yandex for a long time, this is the first time I have encountered a driver who did not know how to follow location navigation and caused friction over basic directions.

I paid a fare of approximately $15 for this ride. I was forced to pay this amount despite being dropped off at the wrong location and the driver refusing to acknowledge his mistake after being warned. Due to being left at the wrong address and stranded late at night, I demand that an official investigation be opened against driver Mr. A and vehicle 35 T 5050, and that the fare paid for this trip be refunded to me in full.
