Xiaomi Store Refuses Refund After Robot App Not Available on Google Play Store
On February 8, 2026, I purchased a Dersar robot from the Xiaomi Store. After purchasing the product, I realized that its mobile application is not available on the Google Play Store.
The only way I was able to install the application was by downloading and installing an APK file manually. I was not satisfied with this installation method, nor with the performance and usability of the application.
My invoice number for this purchase is MTE2026000000436. I contacted the store manager to explain my dissatisfaction and informed them that the application is not officially available on the Play Store and that I was unhappy with having to rely on an APK-based solution.
Despite this, I was told that a refund could not be issued due to dissatisfaction, and my request was rejected.
Because the product cannot be used with a stable and officially supported application, and this information was not clearly disclosed at the time of purchase, I request a full refund for the Dersar robot and that my return request be accepted.
I bought a robot vacuum from a Xiaomi store, the official version of the app is not available and I installed it with a third‑party APK, the mapping feature works only in a single room, it does not finish cleaning before returning to the charging dock, the store manager refused to process my return request, and no solution‑oriented approach was shown.
Based on the information I provided, I filed an application with the Consumer Arbitration Board, and as a result of that application an expert was appointed. The expert wrote in the report that the robot vacuum was causing the problems I described and could not even be found, personally contacted me to explain this, and it resulted in a refund with interest. :)
Here's the decision. Folks, the decision went in my favor, I'm delighted. I already knew it would turn out like this. But there's no point to the brand. Because the manager who works there caused trouble; otherwise, I think the brand would, of course, stand behind the product.
