Xiaomi Service Delays Redmi Note 8 Pro Battery Replacement for Months
In February 2020, I purchased a Redmi Note 8 Pro smartphone from the Istanbul Akasya Mi Store, along with an additional 5-year extended warranty.
Before my 5-year warranty expired in February 2025, I changed my phone, and the store employees told me that since my warranty was still valid, they could replace the battery. Based on this information, they took my device into service.
Even though my phone has been in service since February 2025, I have not been given any clear or concrete information. Every time I ask, I receive only vague and delaying responses such as “we’ll take care of it” or “we’ll handle it.” No one has contacted me, and no updates have been provided about the process.
Despite having a service form with reference number 767540, I find it unacceptable to be left in this situation for such a long time. I do not consider a service process that drags on for this long with absolutely no communication to be normal.
I want this issue resolved immediately, regardless of how they choose to do it, and I expect my situation to be addressed promptly with a clear and final outcome regarding my device.
